| Job Responsibilities |
| * Prepare accurate landed cost calculations for imported products, incorporating purchase price, freight, insurance, customs duty, port charges, clearing costs, and other applicable expenses.· * Maintain and update cost sheets for all products and ensure real-time cost data is available for the sales and pricing teams.· * Work closely with the procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure complete and accurate cost tracking.· * Analyze product-wise gross profit margins and advise management on cost control and pricing strategy.· * Monitor and reconcile inventory movement and valuation, including FIFO costing and adjustments for obsolete/expired goods.· * Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing by preparing cost-related reports and journal entries.· * Conduct variance analysis between standard cost and actual cost, and identify reasons for discrepancies.· * Ensure all cost accounting records comply with internal policies and relevant accounting standards.· * Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes related to product cost and gross margin analysis.· * Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing cost-related documentation and explanations.· * Recommend improvements in cost accounting processes to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. |
