* Job Context: * The Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB) is a leading non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering a just and caring society since 1973. As part of its commitment to climate resilience and sustainable development, CCDB is seeking a Procurement Assistant for the Promoting Climate Resilient Community in Bangladesh (PCRCB Project – Phase II). * The Procurement Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the procurement process by assisting with sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. * Job Responsibilities: * Sourcing Suppliers: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers/vendors. Obtain price quotations and negotiate terms and conditions. Maintain a comprehensive supplier database. * Purchase Order Management: Assist in the developing and processing of purchase/work orders maintaining compliance issues. Review purchase orders for accuracy and completeness. Track and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery. * Vendor Communication: Communicate with suppliers to resolve order discrepancies or issues. Communicate delivery schedules and expectations to suppliers. Maintain positive relationships with vendors. * Inventory Control: Monitor and update inventory levels to avoid stockouts. Assist in conducting regular stock counts and reconciliation. Coordinate with relevant departments to manage surplus or obsolete inventory. * Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, warranty documents. Organize and file procurement documents for easy retrieval. Prepare reports and summaries as needed. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation is maintained for audit purposes. * Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Assist in the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers. Stay up-to-date with procurement regulations and policy best practices. * Cost Control: Assist in cost analysis and cost-saving initiatives. Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality. * Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the procurement team as required. Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and assist with correspondence. * Any task assigned by the management. |

Additional Requirements |
Age 25 to 35 years Minimum of 2 (two) years of work experience in relevant field. Proven experience as a procurement assistant or in a similar role is a plus. Ability to work under pressure. Require skill in preparing report both in English and Bangla. Strong communication skills. Familiarity with procurement software/tools is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices is preferred. Willingness to learn and adapt to changing procurement processes. Integrity and ethical behavior in handling sensitive procurement information. Cultural sensitivity and ability to respect and work well with people from different backgrounds and disciplines. Willingness to visit and stay at remote area. |
