Arannayk Foundation also engages the private sector in conservation and strengthens institutional capacity to combat environmental crime.For smooth planting operation and ensuring pre-planting and post-planting activities in plantation management and other relevant activities of Arannayk Foundation’s World Bank-supported “Plantation on Embankment at 10 Acre Shrimp, 11- & 48-Acre Shrimp Estates Chakaria, Cox's Bazar” project, a ‘Site Coordinator’ will be hired for the project duration. * Major Job responsibilities: * The main tasks for this position would be, but not necessarily limited to, the following:· * Keep close collaboration with the local shrimp state owners, farmers, livestock owners, local administration, UP chairman/members, different vendors, and other relevant stakeholders, and organize regular meetings with them.· * Assist planting operations such as preparation of planting sites, staking process, pit making, collecting of fertile foreign soil, soil preparation and filling, planting the seedlings, fastening the stake and fence water source, and watering and other relevant preparations.· * Assist with the post-planting activities, including weeding and climber cutting, gap filling, manuring, mulching, watering, re-filling the pit with fertile foreign soil, and repairing the fence.· * Labor and watcher management for planting operations and post-planting activities.· * Keep administrative and financial records, including documents, vouchers, registers, receipts, master roll, etc., related to your activities in your safe custody for submission to Arannayk Foundation and to comply with the audit requirements.· * Assist the Project Coordinator and the Plantation Supervisor in performing the project work.· * Perform any other duties/tasks as assigned by the supervisor. |

Age at least 35 years Project: Plantation on Embankment at 10 Acre Shrimp, 11- & 48-Acre Shrimp Estates Chakaria, Cox's Bazar (Under the "Sustainable Coastal and Marine Fisheries Project Managed by Department of Fisheries, Funded by World Bank) Education: HSC/HSC equivalent/Graduate degree Experience: 2 years of field work experience. Experience in nursery and plantation management will be an added advantage. Duration: 9 months, maybe extended based on the project's needs and performance.Appointment type and working environment:A full-time staff.The remote project site is challenging, troublesome, and isolated from the mainland. Additional Requirements: Excellent facilitation and communication skills are a must to qualify the successful candidate. Should be a good team player. Strong ability to work flexibly, managing change and competing priorities. Having non-discriminatory and gender-sensitive perceptions along with safeguarding and child protection compliances. To protect women, children, and people with disability in connection. Respectful of the safeguarding policy. Subject to fulfillment of other criteria as mentioned above, and local candidates having language skills in the local dialect of Chakaria / Cox’s Bazar areas and willing to work and stay at the remote project site, especially the Chakaria shrimp estate areas, will be given preference and are encouraged to apply.
